EFFORT: 1.5 hours a week (live classes) + 1.5 hours a week (outside of class)
Explorers will use MIT’s Scratch 3.0 programming language in order to program a robot that can solve a maze autonomously. Equipped with the fundamentals of programming and algorithm-writing, along with proper testing principles, they will compete to see who can create the fastest maze-solving robot. The class will use MakerBlock’s mBot educational robot but the purchase of the robot (~$80) is not required for participation.
Section 1: 8-10 years old (10:00-11:30am EST)
