Develop an object recognition system that can detect intruders in the Cloud.
Explorers will build their own cloud-based object recognition system on a Raspberry Pi that will be able to detect intruders and set off an alarm. They will learn the basics of working with Linux and how to manage, install, and secure a Raspbian system. The project begins with Explorers installing and setting up all the networking tools needed to maintain and secure a Raspberry Pi online. Explorers will also learn the basics of remote networking and how to connect to a remote device using SSH.
The Explorers will work in Python to develop a program that uses sensors attached to a Raspberry Pi to detect movement and analyze this input to detect possible intrudors or unwanted access. They will also build a notification system using an e-mailing service that will notify them about the intrusion.
